Python Job: Software Engineer (Databricks)

Who we’re looking for:

InnerSpace is looking for a driven and skilled Intermediate Software Engineer focused on Data Science through Databricks.

The ideal candidate has a passion for data processing and pipeline engineering, and works regularly in PySpark or Databricks. They will have experience in Databricks Cluster management and optimization, Databricks Notebook development, Python programming, and a solid understanding of SQL. They will work with other teams to deliver critical data products to customers.

You are someone who has exceptional software development experience, is excited to join an early-stage company, loves to wear multiple hats, thrives under pressure and loves to learn.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines in Databricks
• Write complex Python scripts and SQL queries to support data operations
• Work collaboratively with small teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
• Participate in regular Agile SCRUM meetings to ensure project deadlines are met
• Write clear and concise documentation to aid in knowledge transfer
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Work well in a small team environment
• Never be satisfied

Your experience, skills, and knowledge

• At least 3 years of experience in Databricks or PySpark, Python, and SQL
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and database design principles
• Experience working in an Agile SCRUM environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a small team
• Experience at small or startup companies
